Walk 10 Min in My Shoes

evening commute infographic

I am obsessed with the new online tool easel.ly, which helps you create Infographics, so I decided to make one about my walk to NY Penn train station every evening from work. Sure, it’s no subway ride but it’s still eventful! I often go the same way every day, left on 28th street and Madison, right on 5th avenue to go north toward 31st street before heading westward to 7th avenue to the NJ transit entrance.

Sometimes I switch it up to avoid crazy people on 31st street (see infographic) but that doesn’t always work out…and don’t let me ever run late to catch the train! New Yorkers (aka loitering men on the street) love to comment on people (innocent women) running down the street. It’s just four avenues and three blocks to Penn Station from my office, but that is enough to have a few encounters!

Click on the infographic for a larger view of the trail (start on the bottom right corner of image). Enjoy!
